Who We Are

Inspirational Youth Services, Inc. is a privately owned Therapeutic Foster Care Child Placement Agency that provides services throughout the State of Virginia. Our mission is to provide all children from birth to eighteen years of age with a nurturing, stable home while their families work to resolve their difficulties. Since our establishment in 2007, we have been committed to reaching troubled teens and providing a caring, stable family to fill the void for those in need. Our approach is both flexible and intensive, and we work with families to strengthen relationships and connections among family members.

What We Do

At IYS, we offer trained therapeutic foster homes to children who require out-of-home placement. Our services are categorized into three levels of care, each tailored to meet the specific needs of each child. We provide intensive case management services and foster home placement monitoring, and our staff is available 24 hours a day to provide support to foster children and foster parents.

What We Offer

Case Management

IYS provides foster families with extensive and intensive case support infrastructure to create a strong, healthy family unit that will ultimately lead to positive child development. With ongoing training and supervision, along with 24-hour staff availability, IYS is committed to delivering the highest quality customer service.

Tutors

Our tutors are assessed thoroughly through our application and background screening processes and participate in our specialized training program tailored to be effective tutors. The foster children’s success is the most important thing to Inspirational Youth Services, and we support this claim with the substantial number of services and programs we offer.

Mentors

Mentors provide extended guidance and support for foster children in addition to our highly trained staff. We encourage our mentors to bring trustworthiness and the ability to keep confidential to the mentoring relationship they establish.

Independent Living Skill Services

These services are created for those youth who will age out of the foster child care system to assist them in making the best life choices possible for themselves. IYS recognizes each youth has different needs and provides an array of services to meet their individual needs and maximize their potential for success.

Foster Parent Support

Many foster children exhibit developmental, medical, behavioral, and psychosocial concerns, which require labor-intensive case management services aimed at the foster child and foster parents. At IYS, we recognize this need and are with our parents every step of the way, providing ongoing training and supervision, along with 24-hour staff availability.

Professional Development & Training

We take pride in our training and professional development programs offered. Our new and approved parent training programs cover more than just what it takes to become an approved licensed foster parent; we discuss what it takes to change the life of a foster child.

This information helps us identify the best possible placement and determine if the child meets our eligibility and admission requirements.
